83 ½ is best described as a labor of love. A love of family, friends and most importantly, food. Owner Vincenzo Mangiafridda, a twenty-year restaurant veteran of the Upper East Side, wanted to open a restaurant that spoke to his deep Sicilian roots. He sought a balance between the old and new worlds, a combination of classic Italian cuisine and modern presentation. At 83 ½, his vision become reality.

83 ½ Ristorante has evolved since its conception in 2010 and even after opening in late 2012.  Staying true to the local farms that provide us with the delicious, seasonal produce we cohere to the same idea bringing our guests a fresh take on Italian, farm-to-table cuisine.  We invite our guests to join us in our passion for great food, great wine & great service.  Inspired by owner roots, Chef Vincenzo Mangiafridda focuses on Italian culture, taking his family favorites and bringing them to our guests.  Above all, it is Vincenzo’s love of people that makes 83 ½ Ristorante what it is: a warm, welcoming place where friends & family share their passions with any & everyone who walks through the door.  We can’t wait for your family to meet ours..
